Simple swimming etiquettes

Submitted by : likehealth //

Ever heard of etiquette or things that you shouldn't do when in a swimming pool ? Actually aside from the usual :

       1. "no horseback riding"
       2. "no playing around the pool"
       3. "no diving" in shallow area of the pool
       4. "wear swimming trunks and suits"

Do not stay or swim inside the swim space ( encircled part ) of the swimmer as respect.

One of the most important one code of conduct or etiquette in the pool when swimming is respect on someone else's lane. When you see someone who is swimming back and forth, you must be aware of his  / her lane where he/she is swimming in. In short, that is his / her occupied lane space, he/ she usually will not swerve or deviate to occupy another lane or space. Everybody should be aware of this conduct, so as one might not interfere in his / her swimming lapse. Almost all swimmers, good swimmers and just starting to learn, knows this. They will not be vocal and tell you not to occupy their swimming space, but it is best that we know. For those that are just starting to learn, they are excused for the first few offenses. Your instructor or your swimmer friend will inform you about this.

Please observe and remember the parts of the bleacher.

Please observe and remember the parts of the bleacher.

Aside from this very important conduct, there are also :

    1. Stairs - as one can see in the image the stair is located at the side of the bleacher.

2. Walkways - they are the lowered part of the bleachers. This is where a you walk not the seats.

3. Seats - the seat are the elevated part of the bleacher, they must not be stepped on as like a stair. If you do not want to use the stairs at the side at least do not step on the seats but step on the walkway to another level of the walkway. You will be just dirtying the seats if you step on it.

Now that you know, we hope you would observe the pointers that was mentioned in this site as respect to the swimmers and will be as respect also for you as future swimmers.
